When people from diverse sectors of life come together with the single-minded aim of uplifting the underprivileged, inspired and led by none other than the youth icon and Changemaker, Honourable Member of Parliament and Minister of State for Finance & Corporate Affairs, Government of India, Anurag Thakur himself, change is bound to happen.   In one such momentous occasion, Yuva Unstoppable brought together top corporate heads together with youth leaders, school children, and authorities at the Changemaker Awards 2020. Yuva Unstoppable is an Indian based charity that has transformed over 1500 government schools and impacted over 6 lakhs children since its inception in 2005. An event to recognise the path breaking social initiatives and development work brought about by our corporate partners through CSR, the Changemakers were felicitated by Anurag Thakur who was awarded Champions of Change Award in 2019 for his work in social welfare.   In order to realise the vision of Anurag Thakur, Yuva Unstoppable redeveloped 4 government schools in Hamirpur district of Himachal Pradesh, the former’s constituency, as a pilot project to transform many more in the entire region.   “If there is someone who is doing scalable work at the grassroots, it is Amitabh Shah and Mrs. Rashmi Shah. Yuva Unstoppable has transformed not one, not two but hundreds of schools which is what really makes it commendable”, commented Anurag Thakur on the impact created by Yuva Unstoppable.   “I am so glad to see that corporates in such huge numbers have come forward to hold the hands of Yuva Unstoppable towards catalysing social change and empowering communities. I request all of you to come together and transform the mindset of many more towards realising the vision and mission of amazing organizations like Yuva Unstoppable”, he added.   Amitabh Shah, founder of Yuva Unstoppable, also shared about the journey of his non-profit and impact created by it at the event. “When children no more feel excited about vacations because of being away from hygienic, sanitary washrooms – one knows that well equipped schools are safe haven for thousands of children. And this is what we at Yuva Unstoppable strive to achieve every day”, asserts Amitabh Shah.   Indian wrestler, Commonwealth gold medallist and now a philanthropist too, Sangram Singh who’s recently joined the Yuva Unstoppable’s bandwagon of ambassadors, was also recognised as Changemaker at this event for the remarkable mission and work of Sangram Singh Foundation. At the event, he talks about the importance and methods to ensure physical, mental and emotional health.   The event ended with Anurag Thakur urging all, the corporates, schools, community and NGOs alike to come together and work towards nation building and transforming mindsets.
